Geotab is seeking a Product Analyst (Product, Business, and Data) who will cover the full product, business, and data spectrum for GVP, owning the numbers behind the platform including metrics, queries, dashboards, and data architecture to drive decisions the team acts on.
As a Product Analyst (Product, Business, and Data) your key area of responsibility will be defining, instrumenting, tracking, and analyzing key product and business metrics, building queries, pipelines, dashboards, and maintaining data architecture to steer the product and business. You will need to work closely with senior product and engineering leaders, product management, service teams, and leadership.
To be successful in this role you will be a self-starter who requires little training or onboarding, finds the questions worth answering, and possesses clear written and verbal communication skills.
The successful candidate will have a proven record of shipped analyses, models, or data products that reached real decisions, strong SQL and Python/R proficiency, hands-on experience with data modeling and data warehouse architecture, and fluency with BI tools.
How you'll make an impact
- Define, instrument, track, and analyze key product and business metrics for the GVP platform, including adoption, engagement, retention, and revenue indicators, and share insights with the product team and leadership.
- Write and maintain the metrics queries and reporting pipelines the team relies on for daily, weekly, and quarterly reporting.
- Run deep dive analyses on product usage, funnels, pricing, and operational questions, and present clear, defensible recommendations.
- Design, document, and maintain the data architecture and data housing that analytics depends on, including schemas, data models, and table structures.
- Support the service team backend with data architecture and data housing analysis, and help resolve data structure, quality, and consistency issues.
- Build and maintain dashboards that leadership, product, and service teams actually use to steer the product and the business, and keep them accurate and current.
- Develop systems and processes for qualitative and quantitative evidence collection, fostering a data informed culture across the team.
- Partner with product management to size opportunities, define success metrics for new features, evaluate results after launch, track metric targets, and document data definitions and logic.
What you'll bring to the role
- A record of shipped analyses, models, or data products that reached real decisions or real users.
- Strong SQL plus working proficiency in Python or R.
- Fluency with at least one BI tool such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Hands on experience with data modelling and data warehouse or data architecture work (BigQuery or similar cloud warehouse experience is a plus).
- Proven range across product analysis, business analysis, and data analysis, often within the same week.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- A self starter who requires little training or onboarding, finds the questions worth answering, and answers them.
- Comfortable with a high intensity workload and based in, or willing to relocate to, Dubai for onsite work at the Geotab office in Dubai Internet City.
