Senior Accountant

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate accounting, financial reporting, and financial management, with a thorough understanding of UAE taxation, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Manage the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and applicable statutory requirements. Prepare and submit VAT returns and coordinate Corporate Tax filings. Monitor cash flow, operating expenses, supplier payments, and customer collections. Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, variance analyses, and management reports. Handle payroll accounting, WPS requirements, and employee end-of-service benefit calculations. Review invoices, payment requests, financial transactions, and supporting documentation. Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions. Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and relevant authorities. Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and maintain effective internal financial controls. Ensure accurate financial reporting and transaction recording within accounting and ERP systems. Provide financial analysis and reports to support management decisions. Key Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of professional accounting experience. Previous accounting experience in the UAE is preferred. Proven experience independently managing full-cycle corporate accounting operations. Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, IFRS, and applicable financial regulations. Extensive experience in financial reporting, general ledger management, reconciliations, and financial closing procedures. Strong understanding of budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis. Knowledge of UAE payroll regulations, WPS, and end-of-service benefit calculations. Experience in audit coordination, regulatory compliance, and internal financial controls. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Experience with Odoo ERP is preferred. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are an advantage. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time management. Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines. Strong communication skills and a high level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
